About CMIA

China Medical Informatics Association (CMIA), established on August 18, 1980, is an academic organization constituted of specialists, scholars, technologists and administrators in the field of medical and healthcare informatics. CMIA officially joined IMIA and is the only representative of China in IMIA. The academic activities of CMIA are strongly supported by the Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, National Health and Family Planning Commission, State Food and Drug Administration, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine etc. CMIA has at present over 6200 members, 115 directors, 29 professional committees and 18 regional branches.

With an aggregation of a large number of famous experts, scholars and senior managers, CMIA has established close relations with well-established hospitals, universities, scientific organizations and manufactories, playing a leading role in the research and application of medical informatics in China. It also has long-term close cooperation with international academic institutions.
